ABOUT
In the heart of Vaison‑la‑Romaine, Chicon & Romarin is an independent 93 m² holiday home (classification 4*) that can accommodate up to 4 guests.
Its privileged location allows you to explore the entire town on foot: Roman ruins, the ancient theatre and its summer performances, the medieval Upper Town, the Notre‑Dame‑de‑Nazareth cathedral and its cloister, as well as shops, restaurants and the lively terraces of Place Monfort.
Every Tuesday, the Provençal market — one of the oldest and most renowned in the region, with five centuries of history — sets up just a few steps from the house, offering an authentic immersion into the local art of living.
You will also enjoy a sunny enclosed garden, free parking nearby, and immediate access to the treasures of Provence: Mont Ventoux, the Dentelles de Montmirail, hilltop villages and the vineyards of the Côtes‑du‑Rhône.
And finally, why “Chicon & Romarin”? Because when a Belgian and a Frenchwoman renovate a house in Provence, the result can only be an unexpected name… Multilingual (French, Dutch, English, German), we will be delighted to welcome you in the language of your choice.
Atmosphère Provence....
THE HOUSE
An old, traditional Provençal village house, it was fully renovated by us in 2025 with an eco‑friendly approach.
Vintage furniture, restored pieces and repurposed objects blend together to create a warm and unique atmosphere.
The bedding, household linen and kitchen equipment are all brand new.

Garden and terrace of 70 m²
Facing south and fully enclosed, the garden offers a peaceful and intimate setting.
The terrace features a shaded dining area protected by a sun sail and a maple tree.
Further on, a space covered with reed screens, furnished with two rocking chairs — and two sun loungers — invites you to relax. A few trees provide freshness and greenery, and a barbecue is available for outdoor meals.
A secure, locked storage room (6 m²) is available for bicycles and small equipment.
Stay
Spacious and welcoming, the living room charms with its traditional Provençal ceiling, giving it an authentic character. Air‑conditioned, it offers an ideal setting for relaxing, reading, chatting or working remotely, thanks to a dedicated, discreet and practical workspace.
Kitchen
Brand new, the kitchen is bright, functional, and opens onto the garden.
It is fully equipped with everything you need: dishwasher, fridge-freezer, gas hob, pyrolytic oven, microwave oven, dishes and utensils for 4 people.
Also at your disposal: Nespresso machine, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, blender, and recycling bin.
Master suite
Located upstairs on the garden side, the master suite includes a bedroom (160×200 bed), a small lounge that can accommodate a young child, as well as a private bathroom with a spacious shower, double sink, and toilet.
Facing due south, it benefits from beautiful brightness and a view of the medieval castle — a peaceful space to enjoy Vaison-la-Romaine from the morning.
Bedroom
Also located upstairs and facing west, this room with authentic charm — old terracotta tiles, decorative fireplace, patinated wooden door — offers a timeless atmosphere.
Air-conditioned, it has two 90×200 beds that can be joined to form a large double bed.
The dedicated bathroom (shower and toilet) is located on the ground floor.
Dressing
Upstairs, a large shared dressing room serves the two bedrooms. Spacious and functional, it allows you to store your belongings easily without cluttering the rooms.
A practical asset for a well-organized stay that preserves everyone's privacy.

Household linens
We provide you with a bath towel, a shower sheet and 1 washcloth per person.
The beds will be made upon your arrival (2 pillows per person), they are equipped with duvets with anti-mite treatment.
Table linen is also provided.
Wi-Fi
The house has a flat screen TV, FM/DAB+ internet radio and a very high-speed (fiber) wired + Wi-Fi internet connection.
Air conditioning
The living room and the bedroom (West side) are equipped with the latest generation of air conditioning.
Hobbies
Two steps are available for your use, as well as books, puzzles and board games.

Our animal friends are
welcome in the house (extra fee).

Free parking nearby.
Babies
Baby equipment (travel cot - baby chair) available on request.
Telework
A teleworking space is available within the gîte.

REMEMBER...
Child accessibility & safety
The cottage is an old house, with its charm… and its quirks. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
We also draw parents' attention to the interior staircase, which can pose a risk to young children. Close supervision is recommended for their safety.
Non-smoking
The cottage is a non-smoking area. However, you can use the garden for your cigarette breaks, making sure to use the ashtray provided and not to leave any cigarette butts.
Pets allowed
Pets (except cat. 1 dogs) are welcome at the cottage, provided they are well-behaved and under the supervision of their owners.
For hygiene and comfort reasons for everyone, they are not allowed on the beds or on the sofa.
